Who We Are
Tanz and Powell, L.L.P. are dedicated full-service attorneys. We are experienced with deportation and immigration issues, bankruptcy and foreclosure issues, family law and child custody issues, and personal injury issues. Together, Jared Tanz and Fabian E. Powell have several years of experience in their fields.
Fabian E. Powell
Mr. Powell is experienced in bankruptcy, debt settlement and negotiation, immigration, personal injury, family law and general litigation. He obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Massachusetts Boston and his law degree from University of Massachusetts School of Law Dartmouth. He received his MIP from Franklin Pierce Law Center.
Mr. Powell, a Boston immigration lawyer, Boston loan modification lawyer and Boston bankruptcy attorney, was admitted to practice in Massachusetts in 2008 and in Connecticut in 2009. He has been admitted to practice in the 1st Circuit Court and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Boston Bar Association, Norfolk Bar Association, National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association.
He often appears on radio and television to discuss immigration issues. He is also a board member of the University of Massachusetts School of Law Dartmouth Alumni Association and co-chair of the events committee. Mr. Powell speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
Jared Tanz
Mr. Tanz is experienced in contract drafting and negotiating, real estate issues, consumer protection, family law, immigration and criminal law. He is also an experienced civil litigator. Mr. Tanz, a Boston immigration lawyer, obtained his undergraduate degree from University of Massachusetts, Amherst and his law degree (JD) from University of Massachusetts School of Law Dartmouth.
Mr. Tanz is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Norfolk Bar Association. He volunteers at the Housing Court in Boston through the Volunteer Lawyers Project. He is admitted to practice in the 1st Circuit Court.
